Our psychological services are delivered by accomplished mental health professionals skilled in child wellness and include individual counseling, group counseling sessions, and self-directed courses. Our Founders
HippoCampus is the brainchild of Shirin and Hanif Rayani. The creation of this safe and enriching online tool combines Shirin’s passion for wellness and education for children and Hanif’s success in business leadership.
With a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology, Shirin has extensive experience creating positive learning and engagement opportunities for both typically developing children and those with special needs. Working in multiple capacities as a Mental Health Clinician and with Alberta Children’s Hospital providing safe and stimulating play spaces, mental health programming, and management support for Social Workers, Psychologists, and Healthcare Professionals, she is passionate about providing a whole-health approach to children’s needs, by combining educational opportunities with tools for wellness through mental health supports. With this commitment, Shirin founded Grey Matter Montessori, an award-winning educational centre providing individualized, well-rounded programming to allow students to develop fully in an environment that is nurturing and engaging. Shirin believes in supporting families with tools to create a balanced, healthy, enriching home environment to maximize learning.
Leading teams to success with powerful training and coaching techniques, Hanif understands the power of virtual education and development through an online space. He is committed to fostering a team environment that focuses on wellness and whole-health support to develop a workspace that facilitates innovation, creativity, and risk-taking. Hanif believes that each day presents opportunities for learning and growth.
